“My name is Elvira, I am 14. I was born in Russia in the city of Novosibirsk in Siberia! I stared doing rhythmic gymnastics when I was 2! Rhythmic gymnastics is a mix of ballet, dance, acrobatics, apparatus skills and theatre skills. I love it.
Then my family moved to the USA. Now I live in Washington, DC and I am coached by my mom and we practice every day for 4-5 hours. Every training includes stretching, conditioning, ballet, apparatus skills, working on my routines, balances, turns and leaps.
In 2017 I became state, regional and then USA national champion and I also qualified for level 10 - the highest level in rhythmic gymnastics in the USA.
This year I am training hard moving forward to my goals.”
