“My name is Khiyla Aynne, I’m 10 years old and I’m from Toronto, Canada.
I train at Millennium Dance Complex in Toronto as a member of their Company and Crew. My favourite styles of dance are hip hop and dancehall. I also train in ballet, jazz, acro, afro, jazz funk and contemporary.
I have a very strong work ethic and my passion for dance is my driving force to push my training to the next level by participating in dance workshops and drop in classes throughout Canada and United States. I have won multiple awards and scholarships but my most memorable performance to date was when I performed on The Ellen Show. I am so thankful to have had such an amazing opportunity to be able to share what I love to do with the world.
The largest crowd I have ever performed for live was when I was one of four children chosen to dance on stage with Justin Bieber during his song “Children” at the Air Canada Centre for the Purpose World Tour in Toronto.
One thing you may not know about me is that I love to act. This past year I filmed 20 episodes as the lead character Trish on a new children’s TV show Ponysitters Club that will be airing worldwide very soon. I also had a role in the movie 48 Christmas Wishes (2017) as Sherry the Time Elf. I have filmed two worldwide commercials (2017) for some super cool children’s toys and recently filmed a national commercial (2018) in Chile for a big box retailer.
My motto is “be YOU always” and that is how I live each day. Not everyone is going to like you and not everyone is going to like you for you and that’s okay. As long as you be YOU always that’s all that matters. Stay true to yourself and everything else will follow.
When I’m not dancing or filming I love to sing, go horseback riding, read and play with my big sister and my friends. When I grow up I want to be a professional dancer, choreographer, actress and Veterinarian.”
