Samantha McGowan was born in Columbus, Ohio and started dance at the age of 2. She took ballet only until the age of 6 when she when she started dancing competitively and added jazz and tap classes. She performed her first solo at the age of 8 and at the age of 9 began to place as the overall high point winner at many regional competitions.
She has won first place at several competitions since then and has won scholarships to numerous different conventions (you have the list on her resume that I sent to you and also include she was the Non-Stop Dancer Winner at the 24/7 dance convention regionally 2016). In 2015 she was accepted into the American Ballet Theatre's Young Dancers summer workshop in New York City and was also accepted into the summer intensive for Joffrey's School of Ballet on scholarship. She placed in the top twelve at YAGP regionals in Indianapolis for both her classical and contemporary solo in 2015.
Samantha moved with her family to the west coast in late summer 2015 with dreams of dancing professionally. She is training heavily in ballet, which is her first passion, and also in jazz, contemporary, ballroom and hip hop.
Team Godatu is proud to have her as an Ambassador.
